Researching local newspapers

We have chose 3 local newspapers to do our research on and they are listed below;

  1. Express & Star
  2. Birmingham Post
  3. Shropshire Star
When researching these local newspapers we will be looking at things like;
  • The audiences of the newspapers/The intended readers/Who will be reading it?
  • The history and background
  • Links within community
  • Rivals/Competition
  • Awards
  • Look at their first two pages/Contents of the pages/Why they have used that specific content/The relevance of the content to the local readers

    be precise about what you actually did to research and publish some factual results too-what about your letter to the "E&S"?
